The scientific name for yarrow is Achillea Millefolium, yarrow got its scientific name from the legend of the Greek hero Achilles who used Yarrow to heal wounded soldiers. Yarrow is found in the temperate regions of the northern hemisphere, Europe, Asia, and North America. In Europe, it was a folk cure that was used to reduce inflammation, stomach cramps, and as a calming herb. It has also been applied topically to wounds (Not a recommended use for our Spagyrics)
Many herbalist use yarrow in conjunction with peppermint to sooth digestion.
